Alfonso Daniel Manuel Rodríguez Castelao, usually called Castelao (Rianxo , 30-01-1886; Buenos Aires, 7-01-1950) commonly known as Castelao, was a Spanish politician, writer, painter and doctor. He was one of the fathers of Galician nationalism; promoting Galician identity and culture, as well as involved in the cultural movement Xeración Nós and one of the founders and president of the Galicianist Party.
