gallery tool doesn't list files uploaded by Flickr Bot[edit]

If you use the Flickr bot to upload files from Flickr, the tool doesn't list them -00:41, 5. August 2012‎ Ebaychatter0

That's right. Flickr Upload Bot could be possibly added; tools:~magnus/flickr2commons.php-uploads for technical reasons not, at least I am not aware how to fetch a list from Magnus' bot. -- Rillke(q?) 07:40, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Many images are listed as "deleted" although they were not[edit]

Hi Rillke, in my personal upload gallery [1] I have lots of files that are listed as deleted, although they're obviously not. Is this really what you describe in FAQ as "MediaWiki (the servers) were to slow and the log-timestamp differs too much from the file-version timestamp"? Or is there something wrong? I'm asking because a whole lot of files are affected lately (like approx. 1/3 of my uploads). -- Patrick87 (talk) 21:39, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

1) There is a double-escape bug. 2) log timestamp: 2013-03-22T21:47:08Z, version timestamp: 2013-03-22T21:47:08Z. - Looks great. 3) The API is ignoring the iilimit parameter currently and only returns 50 imageinfos. Gallery tool broken?[edit]

Hi Rainer,

since a few days the gallery tool seems to be broken for me. After loading the UI (that is after the welcome screen) it hangs with the message Loading ... (may take more than one minute) (but doesn't do anything even after more time, normally the images are shown after few seconds for me anyway). There is no furhter error message at this stage.

When now reloading the page an error message is quickly shown (before the page isa ctually reloaded). The returned error is During the execution of JSONListUploads, the following error occured: API request returned code 0 error. Error code is@queryII Client: firefox 22.0 Settings: user:Patrick87 Version: 0.1.15.0.

After the update of MediaWiki to version 1.22wmf11 the gallery tool is working again for me!
Only thing it noticed is that initial loading is very slow now (approx. half a minute where it was available nearly instantly before). I don't know if this is a temporary issue, e.g. high server load, or actually related to the fix somehow.

Thank you for your extensive report. Logevents is always slow on first request and File:Samesex marriage in USA.svg has a lot of revisions (and the tool somehow misses to display it; instead it states it would be a deleted revision … I have to fix this when I've got time… -- Rillke(q?) 14:32, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Global usage does not work correctly for moved files[edit]

Hi Rainer,

global usage information (the red number on the thumbnail) seems not not to work correctly for files which were moved after upload. You can find two examples in my gallery:

Das Problem ist, dass ich viel zu viele Seiten auf meiner Beo habe. Ich denke dieses Problem kann ich ohne größeren Aufwad lösen; momentan habe ich aber nur sehr Eingeschränkt Internetzugriff, da ich im Urlaub bin und das Netz hier noch nicht so gut ausgebaut, wie in D/AT/CH ist. Tool stops with "No filter-results"[edit]

Hello,

After a certain number of pages (today 36) the display stops with a message "No filter-results" and that's it.

For my part I didn't add any filters just starting with the default "newest first". 36 pages don't even show half of the files I've uploaded.

Any idea where this problem comes from?

Gallery tool broken?[edit]

Hi Rainer,

since a few days the gallery tool seems to be broken for me. (I'm visiting https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Commons:MyGallery&withJS=MediaWiki:JSONListUploads.js , which I reached from here.)

Page loading completes, and I see "Welcome to your Gallery." but no images. Clicking "GalleryTool is not loading? Click here!" just seems to reload the page.

Bug: gallery of other users[edit]

If I on the normal gallery from an other user and go to the Gallery tool link on this page I get my own unwanted gallery!? Greetings -- → User: Perhelion 16:10, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's because URL parameter are not extracted and the other user's user name is not part of wgPageName. We would have to run JavaScript on Special:ListFiles to extract the user from the URL-parameters. -- Rillke(q?) 16:41, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Global usage links broken on page 2 and so on[edit]

Hello, If I open my gallery, and I click on the red squares with "?", I can see how many uses every image has, and if I place the mouse over the number, it gives me some links of that usage. However, if I go to page 2 of the gallery (and 3), I can see the numbers but I can not longer see the usages when I point with the mouse, it didn't happen before (months ago?). When I reach the page 4, it shows again the "?", which is ok, and if I click on the squares, I can see the usages links, but it breaks again when I go to page 5.
