Version for non-admins

{{edit request}} Would you move User:Docu/test1.js to MediaWiki:CommonsDelinker2.js? Apparently I can't load it from it's current location. --  Docu  at 23:39, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

What do you mean by “I can’t load it”? You can load it in your vector.js, placement inside MediaWiki is needed only if are preparing a script to be used by all users. --Mormegil (talk) 13:55, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

The current version is used in this form by a template on Category:Amphitrite (ship). If I try to do something like this. I get the error message "User:Docu/test1.js javascript not allowed to be loaded." Something I think used to work before. --  Docu  at 14:00, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

The diff is on the main delinkers page. Did you try the talk page, which is a modification on your version? --ZooFari 15:09, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

They are not diffs, but edit links. Yes, I tried to adapt it for the talk page. Category:Amphitrite (ship) got nuked in the meantime. --  Docu  at 15:11, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

My console shows a problem at return. The autosave option for categories would be helpful too. --  Docu  at 17:24, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

Does the admin version for category moves work? I did a few trials at test, but couldn't get that to work either. --  Docu  at 20:43, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Gallery

On w:de:Half Moon Island the script removed a temporarily deleted image from a gallery, but kept the image caption. In galleries removing the complete row might be better. –Be..anyone (talk) 00:10, 3 July 2015 (UTC)

Broken JavaScript

MediaWiki developers found that this page probably breaks JavaScript for users (example: not seeing the buttons when editing a page). You probably need to edit this .js page and/or MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition as in the examples at phabricator:T122755. List more pages to check.

The script does not work reliably

@Steinsplitter and Krinkle: I have noticed two issues with the script:

1. It adds approved category command to User:CommonsDelinker/commands but not always removes it from User talk:CommonsDelinker/commands/Category moves – I have to do it manually , e.g. Special:Diff/393127700 and Special:Diff/393128733,
2. It not always does copy reason parameter to the queue, e.g Special:Diff/393125282 and Special:Diff/393125271.
