This map contains enormous inconsistencies in the use of lines to link outlying parts of countries. In particular, it omits the links where they cover longer distance (Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Réunion and Mayotte should be linked to France, Greenland to Denmark, Caribbean Netherlands to The Netherlands, Hawaii to US) and, in a shorter missing link, Banks Island to Canada.

Assuming Banks Island to be a minor error, the remainder are evidence of a decision, but one that is inconsistent and arbitrary, and therefore unbecoming of an encyclopaedic tool.

The separation of Macao and Hong Kong from the rest of PRC does not seem justified in fact: they are special administrative regions, but nevertheless are parts of China. Kevin McE (talk) 16:13, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
