Advertising?[edit]

Advertising? That's the mst strange opinion I've seen on Commons. PNG version is not "advertising". Let me quote the template {{Information}}:

Other_versions - Links to files with very similar content or derived files; use thumbnails or Gallery tags <gallery> </gallery>

Other versions field is for other versions. I do edits same like others, see File:Mozilla Firefox logo 2013.svg. --Rezonansowy (talk) 15:13, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You seem to have confused "advertising" with "advertisement". "To advertise" means to put in front of public in a flashy way.
Other than that, is it related to a discussion we had in my talk page? Other than that, your edit (as well everything else you do in this world) must have a purpose. Adhering to some vague description by shoving everything you find into that field does not have any purpose beyond irritating the reader. Link bombing is never good. Those in the Source and Author fields are enough.

Well, I understood it wrong, but I still don't think that my edit was wrong, I just have such a point of view. --Rezonansowy (talk) 23:35, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
