Wrong description?

[edit]

How do you see the front part of first wagon reserved "only for Germans" as it is stated in the description now? I doubt it. --Usteinhoff (talk) 15:25, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You are right in this resolution image you can not see the sign. The description and photo was copied from Warsaw Uprising Museum (no stable links), and is based on a full resolution version of the photo which is (or at least was) not available to the public, since it is behind a pay-wall. I have seen the sign in other photos though. --Jarekt (talk) 17:21, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The link to the Warsaw Uprising Museum is here: [10]. There is a description, not mentioning "Nur für Deutsche". Since this is not visible in the picture, it should not be used in the Wikimedia description without giving another source. As it is now, the photo is used at "Tylko dla Niemców" and "Только для немцев" as a "proof" of this type of segregation. I would call this a trick. I support very much the documentation of German misbehaviour during WWII in Poland, also at wikimedia. However, this photo is not suitable for this. Please change the description accordingly. --Usteinhoff (talk) 22:15, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
