Upper Canada

[edit]

An inaccuracy in the map: "Upper Canada" sprawls over the boundary between Upper and Lower Canada, and the constant coloration suggests that everywhere north of the border was part of Upper Canada when in fact the area between the Great Lakes and Rockies was Rupert's Land, and west of the Rockies, the fur-trading districts of New Caledonia, Columbia, and Vancouver Island. - Montrealais (talk) 23:14, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but this is not an specific map of Canada. --Giggette (talk) 15:07, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Names and limits of New Spain provinces

[edit]

In this Spanish 1817 map the northern provinces of New Spain are depicted with names and limits rather different from the ones shown in this file. Is it because they changed between 1817 and 1819 or is it an error? --Hispalois (talk) 06:11, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Of course not, you are correct. --Giggette (talk) 15:06, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
