Question on Trewartha precipitation threshold calculation- how do the numbers add up? The formula used was "10(T-10) + 3P", where P = the percentage of annual precipitation falling in the high-sun half of the year. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Psyche da mike24 (talk • contribs) 08:52, 10 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There is an error in the image at the bottom — the definition for dry Cf begins "**Wet Cf represents…" instead of "**Dry Cf represents" (error bolded for emphasis) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blocky1OOO (talk • contribs) 19:44, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Something must be wrong

[edit]

Why is the American climates differ from another map citing the same climate classification? Either one is wrong. --Mahmudmasri (talk) 12:15, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This one is highly simplified, and in cases just wrong. 167.206.19.130 19:52, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I want to add that this was me, unintentionally commenting logged out; and by "this" I mean the one the global one. Uness232 (talk) 17:03, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Map is now outdated

[edit]

The map is based on 1981-2010 temperature numbers. The lines have shifted northward a little since then according to the 1991-2020 numbers. For example, Block Island, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, the eastward-facing side of Cape Cod, and most of Long Island are now Do, yet on this map they are blue (humid continental) except for the west end of Long Island.
