File usage

[edit]

This file is currently used at: az:Günəş yanıqları, cy:Llosg haul, wikivoyage:Tunisia, ga:Dó gréine and wikidata:Q649717. Or is it?

@Ikan Kekek: As a user familiar with both Commons and Wikivoyage, can you explain why the Tunisia page is listed here even though I don’t see the image there (nor do I see the image’s name in the page markup)? Brianjd (talk) 08:59, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. It must be used in a Wikidata listing that is included in the Tunisia article, although the image is not visible in the Wikivoyage article. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 14:20, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ikan Kekek I don’t understand what it means for a Wikidata listing to be included in an article. Can you give an example? Brianjd (talk) 08:21, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You have to look at listings in sections of some Wikivoyage articles in edit mode. For example, if you look at w:Glasgow#Do in edit mode, you'll see a "wikidata" field for The Cathouse that has the identifier Q5566768. Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:51, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ikan Kekek That should be wikivoyage:Glasgow#Do. A better example would be The Barrowland Ballroom (Q808992), whose Wikidata item actually has an image: Wfm barrowland ballroom.jpg. And sure enough, that image claims to be used at wikivoyage:Glasgow, even though the image itself does not appear there and its name does not appear in the markup. This seems like a bug to me. I will ask at COM:VP/T when I have a chance. Brianjd (talk) 14:08, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
