Note[edit]

  1. NOTE: Per the artist's description at the artist's website for his artwork, the phrase "Rick Santorum" is linked to www.spreadingsantorum.com, directly associating the artist's artwork with the santorum neologism.
  2. Additional Note: Per the artist's tag descriptors in his upload of the artwork to Flickr, the artwork is tagged as related to tag: "spreadingsantorum", "neologism", and "santorum", among others — also further directly associating his artwork with the santorum neologism.

Extra notation[edit]

I added extra notation in the summary box:

Wikinews usage at n:Santorum neologism gains prominence during US election cycle.

There is simply no reason not to have this extra notation, it is only added information helpful to the reader.

Please don't remove it, thanks.

Cheers,

You are misusing the information block. John Vandenberg (chat) 11:42, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, as it's not an "other version", I've instead added it to the general info sect. -- Cirt (talk) 19:14, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This problem was caused by you and Brian McNeil fiddling around[1]. You should have mentioned that here and Commons:Village_pump#Backlinks_missing, and asked for help, rather than wasting everyones time. John Vandenberg (chat) 23:57, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I had not known that such a move would have caused that issue. -- Cirt (talk) 05:29, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Usage notes[edit]

There is still no reason not to have the extra info on this image page. It is only helpful added information for the viewer of the image page. -- Cirt (talk) 05:17, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The information block is to describe the picture, not promote your usage of the picture.
The information you seek to provide the reader is automatically provided lower on the page. John Vandenberg (chat) 07:00, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So information that is already lower on the page, provided higher on the page with the exact same link is somehow "promotional" ? No, it's not. It's simply added info for the visitor of the image page. That is not a strong enough reason to continually cause disruption by removing the link again and again.
