File talk:Sigmund Freud as a child with his father.jpg
I have been given permission by the Freud Museum to publish this photo on wikimedia commons. This is the email exchange where I was given permission to publish this photo of Freud.
- Dear Paul
Thanks for getting back to me. Apologies, I misunderstood and thought you were publishing a hard-copy. This is fine; since they are lo-res and in the public domain there is no need for official copyright status. Though could you please include the caption ©Freud Museum London or Courtesy of the Freud Museum London – whichever you prefer.
Many thanks Bryony

One edition or further editions?
One edition.
World rights or one language rights?
I don't know yet.
Print run?
Well, I'm publishing it on a website, Wikimedia Commons, so probably not a print run.
Image use.
Again, I'm publishing it on a website, Wikimedia commons, that's the use.
To be honest I already published the two images on wikimedia commons, and wikimedia commons asked me to verify their copyright.

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sigmund_Freud_as_a_child_with_his_father.jpg
That's the only thing I'm doing with the photographs, is uploading them to wikimedia commons, its similar to wikipedia, but its encyclopedic photos instead of articles.

Thank you for your email. The Freud Museum holds the copyright for these two images and we can grant permission for publication by a third party. In order to calculate the copyright fee I would need to know a few details about your publication:
One edition or further editions
World rights or one language rights
Print run
Image use (cover or inside)
Once I have this information I can quote you a fee.
Many thanks

Hello, could I have the copyright information for these two photos, please? http://www.freud.org.uk/photo-library/detail/20835, http://www.freud.org.uk/photo-library/detail/20050/
What I'm asking is, do I legally have the right to publish those photos, or can you give me permission to, or is there a copyright law that prevents that or are you not able to give permission to publish those photos?
