Odd designation

[edit]

The City Clerk's designation of this whole area as "Adams" borders on bizarre. I've lived in Seattle over 30 years, rarely heard the neighborhood name "Adams" used at all, and certainly not for anything south of NW 57th Street. Basically, below that, people refer to "Downtown Ballard" or (south of Market) "Old Ballard" or (more narrowly) "the Ballard Avenue area".

No doubt this is partly because their scheme requires them, once they split up "Ballard," to place everything in some named subdivision, rather than just say "this part is really just Ballard." - Jmabel ! talk 15:39, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
