I really don't know.
It was an exhibition of 220 different kinds of apples, therefore it should be an apple. but it was at the of a row with Rubinette, Liliput rotfleischig, Speierling w:de:Speierling w:en:Sorbus domestica w:fr:Cormier, Mispel w:en:Mespilus germanicaw:fr:Néflier and Schweizerhose.
On the other hand I know that this "farmer" has a big set of old apples and some kinds of old pears. in total he has 280 different kinds of apples and pears. 40 types of prunes and ...
According to the german language wikipedia, the Schweizerhose seems to be a peer w:de:Schweizerhose
