Serious problem[edit]

I have a serious problem with this map: it shows the first part of the ship's journey being overland from the North Sea to the Baltic Sea. Can anybody explain how this was done or what the source for it is? Scolaire (talk) 12:09, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo Scolaire, that's a canal. The source is the book from Karl Spindler (Das geheimnisvolle Schiff). He describes a journey from Wilhelmshaven to the Baltic Sea via this canal (at this time the name was Kaiser-Wilhelm-Kanal). There is also a map on the last page of his book. --Chrischerf (talk) 14:08, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Thanks for that. Do you not think that it would be a good idea to state that explicitly in the file description? I can't have been the only person left scratching their head. Scolaire (talk) 23:02, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Good idea. I write the steps of the journey. --Chrischerf (talk) 10:25, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. That works very well. Scolaire (talk) 18:00, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
