Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Colombia/Panama

[edit]

Guanacaste was a freely anexed region to Costa Rica.

Bocas del Toro was stolen from Costa Rica by Colombia or Panama...

...and AFAIK, this is not added on the map.

England

[edit]

Why does this image refer to "England" when this country ceased to exist in 1707? It should refer to "Britain". 132.185.144.123 14:39, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. These places were colonies of the Kingdom of Great Britain, i.e. Scotland, Wales AND England. It need fixing.
After 1707 England should read "Great Britain". After 1801 it should read "United Kingdom". Roadnote (talk) 18:10, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree

Why does this still say "To ENG"? England has not been a sovereign nation since 1707, as stated above. It perhaps is a slightly pedantic point, but is that not the point of an encyclopaedia, to be accurate? 134.36.19.139 15:03, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Panama Canal Zone

[edit]

From 1903 to 1979, the Canal Zone was territory of the United States. --Shibo77 21:56, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch. I'll add it.-- Esemono (talk) 06:01, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Republic of Anguilla

[edit]

The Republic of Anguilla was an unrecognized state from 1967 to 1969. Do you belive it should be added since it was unrecognized, although it was backed by the majority of Anguillans by a referendum?
