I think the date on this photo may be wrong. The presence of a UPC code on the package means it must be from no earlier than 1972, not c. 1960. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.79.207.65 (talk) 05:49, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@173.79.207.65: ; The main product description already contains a "disputed description" template I put there a couple of years ago, making much the same point:-
"The factual accuracy of this description or the file name is disputed.
Reason: The claimed date of 1960 is open to question because
(i) It's very unlikely that packaging back then would have featured a barcode as this does,
(ii) pack features National Drug Code (NDC) number which was introduced in 1972 and the 5-3-2 number format shown here was introduced later ("The NDC was introduced in 1972 ... Later, the FDA expanded the Labeler segment to 5 digits, with 2 configurations (“5-4-1” and “5-3-2”)") and
(iii) the general package design- primarily the choice of typeface, but also the logo- looks far more recent, and not at all typical of the era."

I have fixed it. Celegene won approval for Thalomid as a human therapeutic in 2006. Good catch. RAN (talk) 00:04, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
