Identification[edit]

@Famberhorst: Hello. No, this cannot be Lepista flaccida, which has crowded white decurrent gills. The gills of this mushroom were not decurrent. With its mauve coloration, this might perhaps be another Lepista similar to Lepista nuda, but I cannot be certain. I suggest category "Unidentified Agaricales". • Good morning Strobilomyces,
Thank you for your message. I would like to change the category to Unidentified Agaricales" but there are many more of this mushroom in decline here, including this one

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Roodbruine_schijnridderzwam_(Lepista_flaccida)_(d.j.b.)_02.jpg I don't think there is just another species among them. My question: what is wisdom? Greetings from --Famberhorst (talk) 06:33, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Famberhorst: Hello. I agree with Lepista flaccida for File:Roodbruine_schijnridderzwam_(Lepista_flaccida)_(d.j.b.)_02.jpg - I think looks quite different, it is red-brown rather than mauve. I can't answer your philosophical question about "what is wisdom?" except to say that the two photos are of different species. As far as this Lepista photo goes, I think we agree now and I have removed the "disputed" template. When you reply to me, it would help me to answer more quickly if you could put a ping template at the start of your answer, that is "{{ping|Strobilomyces}}". All the best, Strobilomyces (talk) 18:39, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
