Wrong license[edit]

The wrong license has been applied. Modern stamps of this country are not in public domain or their status is unknown. They are protected by international copyright laws at least until 70 years after author's death. Authors of stamps are both: an engraver and a graphic artist. Please do not upload photographs or scans of stamps of this country, except

Public domain

This work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 70 years or fewer.

You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States. Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 70 years: Mexico has 100 years, Jamaica has 95 years, Colombia has 80 years, and Guatemala and Samoa have 75 years. This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term. Honduras has a general copyright term of 75 years, but it does implement the rule of the shorter term. Copyright may extend on works created by French who died for France in World War II (more information), Russians who served in the Eastern Front of World War II (known as the Great Patriotic War in Russia) and posthumously rehabilitated victims of Soviet repressions (more information).

. For more information, see Commons:Licensing or more specific for many countries Commons:Stamps/Public_domain.

  • Who is the engraver?
  • Who is the graphic artist?
  • Are they both death for at least 70 years?

@Arno-nl: Sorry, my mistake, I have long been aware of the problem with postmark but forgot about it this time when I spontaneously decided not to crop only the postmark but also the stamp with it (thinking of philatelists for whom AFAIK the connection of a postmark with a stamp means more than any single of them). I am going to fix this in a few hours and upload a new version of the file with the stamp only (not the postmark), which I hope is itself indeed not copyrightable (as it is only a rounded shape with a few words on it). When that is done, I will ask here for an administrator to hide the old version of the file if necessary. --Marek BLAHUŠ (talk) 09:14, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Bedankt Marek. Arno-nl (talk) 11:50, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Arno-nl: Graag gedaan! Nu is de postzegel al weg. Mijn excuses --Marek BLAHUŠ (talk) 20:00, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
