Errors

[edit]

I think this map contains an error. The area around Reichenau im Sachsen/Bogatynia is erroneously indicated as German while in fact it is Polish after 1945. Meursault2004 14:37, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The biggest errors on the map: Border Mark was already distributed between Pommern and other lands before 1939. Stettin might not be located beyond of "Oder_Neisse line" since it was defined during Potsdam Conference. It might be said that Stettin was located West from Oder and this is true. Term "Areas annexed by Poland" is misleading. First it was Peoples Republic of Poland, the second the process was decided by Potsdam Conference so by big superpowers not by any Polish government, which at that time resided in London.

None of this territory was annexed, neither by Poland nor by the Soviet Union. It was merely put under the administration of those powers. --41.146.54.90 19:25, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Elbling

[edit]

"Elbling" is also incorrect. It's neither German, nor Polish nor English. Just an invented name. Wojsyl 23:48, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mecklenburg

[edit]

The legend of the map states that all shown parts of Germany apart from Saxony were parts of the former German state of Prussia. This is not correct. The former state of Mecklenburg which is shown in the north west of the map was not a part Prussia. Nevertheless all parts of Germany that were lost after the war were parts of Prussia.--MiraculixHB (talk) 13:03, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

English names ?

[edit]

The map uses German names, not English as it claims to do.

Other POV issues

[edit]

Another POV issue is calling the depicted areas "German territories lost to Poland". They could be equally called "Polish territories gained from Germany". Neutral naming should be used.

Remove

[edit]

If the POV issues with this map are not fixed, I suggest we remove it. Wojsyl 23:44, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Königsberg was lost to the Soviet Union not Poland

[edit]

Königsberg was lost to the Soviet Union not Poland, this should be made clear in the map using a differnt color. --ALE! ¿…? 14:27, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
