Improving sourcing etc

[edit]

I think that "source" should refer to where we got the picture, not where it was first published. As such, I think it's dubious to rewrite it from that provided by the original uploader to something completely different. The information provided by Chris Light seems to be inconsistent, but I think it should be left as-is until we have more evidence as to which edition the picture was actually scanned from.

The copyright situation is more critical, and I think it would be best dealt with by someone looking through the various editions to see if the artist is credited anywhere. Most editions seem to be available in Cambridge University Library, so I could spend a pleasant couple of hours checking them. Sadly the library will be closed over the Easter weekend, so it might be a couple of weeks before I get a chance. --bjh21 (talk) 12:01, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Partial source

[edit]

Some of those drawings seem to came from Dictionary of French Architecture from 11th to 16th Century (1856) by Eugène Viollet-le-Duc (1814-1879) at least according to the copyringht information of this piction https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Vue.interieure.travee.cathedrale.Paris.png whick looks exactly like the part F. -- MlleLabelle 16 April 2020 — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.246.0.62 (talk) 22:17, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
