Hi Jwh, how in the world can the photographer of a digital photography from August 2012 be unknown? And even in case that would be true, why does the EXIF data say photographer is "Norbert Berens"? If he is not the photographer, such a claim would be illegal per copyright law in must juridictions, including Luxemburg. This needs clarification, also because any re-user has to credit the photographer for any use of this image. --Túrelio (talk) 08:47, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Túrelio, good question!
Is it imaginable that the author gave all copyrights to Norbert Berens and wants to remain anonymous?
Does this Canon have a function to add author and copyright holder automatically? There's the possibility that someone, the unknown, took the camera and shooted some pictures.
Could it be a self portrait?
Could the person pictured be someone else? Norbert Berens' twin brother?
Well, as you can see, my head’s full of questions --Jwh (talk) 11:58, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
At least in Europe the authorship is not transferable, as opposed to the US. Copyright can be transferred, authorship not. So, the photographer may agree that his/her work is not attributed to him/her (which would be rather strange, though). But then the author entry needs to be "anonymous" and not "unknown".
Your other questions don't make sense to me. In case you want to make fun of my questions, go on. I will then either open a DR or ask an OTRS agent for clarification. With my direct questions to you, I just wanted to take a more mellow approach. --Túrelio (talk) 16:48, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I agree that in this case, if it's so, anonymous would be the better attribution, but before changin' anything I'd prefer to hear it from Mr Berens. As far as those questions came to my mind they made at least some sense to me and I can't see where's the fun. A camera may have a function to set author and copyright? Why not a self-portrait? Don't know if there's some twin brother, I have no information about the family. I'll ask Mr Berens, hoping that he considers my questions as appropriate, so that his answer can be handed to OTRS again. In no way it was my intention to make fun of your question, I'm sorry if you took it that way. --Jwh (talk) 21:51, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
