Criterion for adding cities? This map lists 12 Dutch cities. However the selection criterion seems rather random. If we look at the 12 province capitals the following are missing (Zwolle, Haarlem, Arnhem, Den Bosch, Leliestad, Assen, Middelburg), in fact this is the majority. If we look at provinces Flevoland, Drenthe and Zeeland have no cities at all. If we look at city size, neither Leeuwarden, nor Delft are even in the top 20, while Nijmegen and Almere (both in the top 10 most populous cities) are not listed at all. If we look at the age of the city, the oldest cities (depending on definition) Dordrecht or Nijmegen is missing, while Tilburg, Eindhoven, Apeldoorn, Enschede and arguably The Hague only achieved city level in the last 200 yrs. If we look at geographic distribution (Which would merely be an argument based on visual appeal so a weak argument in any case) I also cannot identify any reason for the choice, as the South Holland regions is cramped with Delft shown, while the omission of Assen and Zwolle create a large empty space in the North East. Basically the choice of cities to show seems to be a random selection. That makes this map a gross misrepresentation of the Netherlands and as such utterly worthless. There may of course be some important rationale behind the selection of these cities, but I cannot see it. Arnoutf (talk) 17:54, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
