Algorithmic?[edit]

@Di (they-them) I noticed you added {{PD-algorithm}} to this and the PNG version. I'm honestly not sure if I agree with that. The image of MissingNo. isn't one made with human intent, but it is generated from the source code of a Pokémon game, and all of that code was written by hand by humans. The image is certainly PD because of its geometric simplicity so the point is really mute, but it just raises my eyebrow a bit. OmegaFallon (talk) 20:16, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@OmegaFallon: I think that it qualifies as a computer-generated work because it is a collection of pixels that are collaged as the result of a computer glitch. The pixels exist in the game already, but the glitch generates them into a shape, and that shape isn't the work of any human programmer. The shape is purely the result of a code malfunction.
