The name
[edit]An academic article a decade ago claimed that the picture was taken is not of Mania Shochat. As far as the appeals were not heard this argument.
Therefore, I would like to change the name of the image; Maybe to Anonymous young Eastern Europe at the beginning of the 20th century (or similar).
If there is no objection, I want to change the name of the file.

- I have declined the renaming as per the source website of the image . Now, the article, you referred is in Hebrew and I know nothing about this language. I better ping @Marcus Cyron: , who have declined the renaming previously, rather than taking decision myself. Thanks. -- Bodhisattwa (talk) 14:14, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
- So I'll have to explain again: in an academic journal in Israel - CATEDRA - Said Israeli historian this image is not of Mania Shochat face. I say: this *name of File* is an unfortunate mistake.
- Why this mistake should be here, in Commons?
- Based on what you set it Mania Shochat?

- Please see my conversation at User talk:Marcus Cyron wich said to me: "You are maybe right". Even now, he had not bothered to get to this Talk-page.
- If there are no objections within one week, I'm going to return the "RENAME" to the File.
- I do not agree with his claims about behavior. I waited more than a month that answers my question, and all of my requests have been ignored. So the problem is the behavior of someone else. JHistory • talk 10:09, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi JHistory, This is as per your your message in my talk page. I just noticed, the academia.edu Hebrew article you referred to, was written by you. Besides, I have also checked few other websites and found another one, apart from the source page, which is showing that the person in this pic is Manya Shohat. I also could not find other claims or articles (in English) about this image not being Manya (I confess that I just searched only from surface, not a deep search). As I am not very familiar with Jewish history (and no knowledge in Hebrew, as I said earlier), I will stand aside and wait for admins and others who are familiar with this topic.
