To Gigillo83: I know the history of this map since February 2012. The original is here: File:Italian referendum 1946 support for republic.svg and was made by Mai-Sachme. He used shades from blue till white. One user complained, that this was not clear enough, so it was decided to use two different colors for the opposites: blue and red. But now the same user still is not satisfied, as he wants to cut a clear line between monarchy and republic. Falsifying the colors by using a different palettes for northern italy (blue-red) and southern italy (green-blue) is the wrong way (this way we loose the information that Rome and Cuneo had similar outcomes, as you correctly confirmed).

There's another way to please this user - please wait two days, when I have the time to edit the map, and you'll see, OK.--Sajoch (talk) 20:19, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As I promised, now the map shows a clear line between north (>50%) and south (<50%). The percentage values in each district also reveal that the outcome wasn't so clear everywhere, as someone wants to make us believe (e.g. Cuneo and Roma).--Sajoch (talk) 09:00, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
