Not what it claims to be…[edit]

  I do not think this image is what it claims to be.  It claims to be the bacteria Micrococcus luteus.  Nothing is given to give any scale or context to this image, but it appears to be a culture growing on agar or a similar medium in a Petri dish.  However, as far as I know, bacterial cultures always appear shiny, while this appears to be fuzzy.  I do not think this is a bacterial growth at all, but a fungus—a mold. — Bob Blaylock (talk) 23:22, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
