Omniglot[edit]
Image http://www.omniglot.com/images/writing/pitman_ita.gif at http://www.omniglot.com/writing/ita.htm is based on this image, with no acknowledgment (and not using the type of font which was quasi-standard for ITA)... AnonMoos (talk) 11:53, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Also, phonetic transcription of "ch" joined letter is incorrect. AnonMoos (talk) 11:57, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
At least they got the value example for "ϵϵ" right: "eat", not "cat".-- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 16:52, 29 November 2019 (UTC)
Kϵϵt?[edit]
As requested here, a question for @AnonMoos: Where on Earth is the vowel of the English word "cat" ever pronounced as IPA [iː]?! -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 16:52, 29 November 2019 (UTC)
- Never mind, it’s "eat", not "cat". I’m blind, it seems. -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 20:33, 29 November 2019 (UTC)
- I used "Arial Unicode MS" for the IPA because that's a font I had with the necessary phonetic symbols that was convenient for me to use, and I used "Times New Roman" for the English words containing the sound, with serifs to contrast with the IPA, and because it's a standard font with somewhat narrow letters to allow for a larger fontsize. But it's still somewhat small to fit everything in; if you can suggest another font that would be clearer at a size that would allow all the words to be fitted into the chart, feel free.
