Identification

@Rudolphous: Hello. I don't agree that this looks like Armillaria ostoyae - the colour of the cap is wrong and the scales (on cap and stipe) are like Pholiota scales not like Armillaria. I wonder whether an old Pholiota squarrosa might go like that. Anyway, I recommend category "Unidentified Pholiota". Strobilomyces (talk) 17:06, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
