None of these variations are quite right. I have asked for permission to upload the definitive version as recorded in the UK Flag Registry by the Flag Institute.

This version is corroborated by a photograph taken by Amice Beaumont on 13 July 2017 in Parliament Square during the visit of the King of Spain.

Sark Flag

This is the official set of flags flown by Parliament. It shows the leopards / lions overwhelming the horizontal crossbar. (Don't get me onto the heraldic difference between lions and leopards - read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lion_(heraldry) instead!) MikeSarkID (talk) 16:18, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Problem solved. The new version shows lions overwhelming the cross, as it always was officially. --Oedipe23 (talk) 18:11, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That is the wrong flag! It was correct before.
The two lions (lion passant gardant not leopards) are NOT supposed to cross over the red bars; should be inside the canton.
The flag as granted by and as approved by Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 4.6.20:
Argent a Cross Gules and in the Canton two Lions passant guardant Or

Lions on Sark's Flag[edit]

I am writing this message following the recurring modification of the Sark flag.

For a long time, Wikipedia displayed a false flag, in which the lions did not cover the red cross. But for Sark, the lions must protrude on the cross. You may find some flags selling sites that are not on it, probably because because they took the wrong picture on Wikipedia.

Here is some evidence that for Sark's flag, the lions must go over cross :

The examples above are incorrect and before a definitive agreement. Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II granted the flag on 4.6.20 which is of Argent a Cross Gules and in the Canton two Lions passant guardan. https://twitter.com/SeigneurOfSark/status/1654869960047329280?s=20 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Europegrowth (talk • contribs) 15:59, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
