This file misrepresents the flag of Georgia[edit]

@Лобачев Владимир: I am trying to understand why this flag is here and why it has the word "official" in its title.
There are multiple problems with the flag:

  1. The crosses are not centered in the white rectangles. It is easy to prove this with the measurement (ruler) tool in Inkscape; all you have to do is take measurements between the corners of the crosses and the corners of their containing rectangles; you will find that the distances are inconsistent. If you repeat the same test on File:Flag of Georgia (construction sheet).svg you should see perfect results.
  2. The crosses are all about 5% smaller than they are supposed to be.
  3. The shade of red does not match the RGB value of 255 0 0 (#ff0000) documented in State Symbols of Georgia November 14, 2018.
  4. The arcs on the crosses are approximated with Bézier curves instead of proper circular arcs. Realistically this does not make a huge difference, but if the official specs call for an arc there is no compelling reason to use a Bézier curve instead.

I think this file should be deleted and the filename should be redirected to File:Flag of Georgia.svg. MapGrid (talk) 06:37, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
