Well, then why did you write "Author=Gretchen Castle"? Isn't Gretchen Castle the 2nd person in this image? How could she then have shot it?
What do you mean by "they have licensed it under commons"? A "creative Commons license"? Where is the evidence? On the Facebook-page is no license mentioned. --Túrelio (talk) 14:26, 24 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That was a mistake. I was thinking "subject". It was shot by her husband, David Botwinik. In any event, it is not copyright The Friend, so the reason for deleting it is incorrect. They allowed The Friend to use it. There is now a CC2.0 on the FB photo. Lard Almighty (talk) 15:30, 24 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Obviously the person who tagged it now on Facebook with "Creative Commons Licence. 2.0" has little idea about CC. CC is just an organisation for "free licenses". The licenses, they have developed, differ a lot and not all are allowed on Commons; see Commons:Licensing#Well-known_licenses. So, the current tag on Facebook is meaningless, as it does not specify the license. I would recommend either CC-BY 4.0 or CC-BY-SA 4.0. However, that's a decision the photographer has to make, as the consequences are with him/her. --Túrelio (talk) 16:14, 24 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
OK, the file has now been tagged by the author with the appropriate CC licence. Facebook is the first place it was published. Please reinstate the file. Thank you. Lard Almighty (talk) 10:26, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
