Identification[edit]

This is a long-tailed sun skink or Eutropis longicaudata, not a bronze mabuya. Misidentification! Dpstviva (talk) 07:04, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, it's a Keeled Indian Mabuya or Eutropis carinata. Dpstviva (talk) 07:06, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry again, I was right, it's a long-tailed sun skink. Not a bronze mabuya anyway. Dpstviva (talk) 07:07, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
On hold I'll check again with specialists. Regards -- Basile Morin (talk) 08:03, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Dpstviva: Eutropis macularia and Eutropis longicaudata are very similar. Please explain your diagnostic -- Basile Morin (talk) 02:27, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
First, E. macularia is a lot smaller than E. longicaudata. Second, E. macularia (usually) has a long white stripe running from the lower lip to the front leg, while E. longicaudata has a pale green underpart. Dpstviva (talk) 06:34, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I've submitted the picture for id confirmation to specialists. Greetings -- Basile Morin (talk) 11:17, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
