This file has been renamed and description edited to change species from Pinus pinaster to Pinus halepensis, without discussion nor references. Although, previous identification as Pinus pinaster had references:
- There is a plate in the image identifying the species (plate by parks and gardens services of the city council).
- This is a listed tree, and the catalogue register (linked from description page) clearly states its species: http://w10.bcn.es/APPS/gmocataleg_monum/FitxaMonumentAc.do?idioma=CA&codiMonumIntern=1138
Therefore, editions should be reversed and rename should be undone.--Pere prlpz (talk) 10:07, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
- The tree in the photo is readily identifiable as Pinus halepensis by the short, slender needles, smooth branchlets, and small, smooth cones. Compare the long, stout needles, heavy, rough branchlets, and large, ridged cones of Pinus pinaster, e.g. here. MPF (talk) 15:46, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
