Wider map

[edit]

Should use a wider map to encompass all of China with the new en:Lanzhou-Xinjiang High-Speed Railway coming into operation. --71.178.202.156 07:39, 10 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Errors in this map

[edit]

This file currently is bad quality.

0)Separation of colors should be done at 200+/250+/300+, what's the point of 310?. Also, this map have very poor geographical accuracy.

Northeast

[edit]

1)CRH service no longer run the old Harbin-Shenyang line.

2)Panjin-Yingkou line connects Qinhuangdao-Shenyang line at Panjin North and Shenyang-Dalian line at Yingkou East. In this file it's isolated.

3)The Beijing Xinghuo-(via Chaoyang, Fuxin)-Shenyang line have branches to Chifeng and another to Tongliao u/c which is not shown

Northern

[edit]

4)There are TWO 300km/h+ lines between Beijing and Tianjin:

  • Beijing-(via Langfang)-Tianjin South-Shanghai (long distance), with a Tianjin-Tianjin West-Tianjin South branch.
  • Beijing-(via Wuqing, Tianjin)-Tianjin-Yujiapu, Binhai, Tianjin (short distance, the now terminal Yujiapu is near the coast rather than Tianjin city centre).

5)The Tianjin-Qinhuangdao Line (Red) pass through Tangshan, rather than another yellow line connect to Tangshan north (don't exist).

6)There is no u/c section between Datong and Huhhot, or Datong and Beijing, or full line Datong to Taiyuan: the correct is Taiyuan-Yuanping, Jining-Zhangjiakou-Beijing. There's a planned Datong-Zhangjiakou line but not already under construction, plus an existing new conventional line between Yuanping and Datong (there's currently in dispute whether the eventual Datong-Taiyuan-Xi'an line should take this conventional line or new construction between Yuanping and Datong)

7)The old Beijing-Shanghai conventional line still have CRH services (only overnight)

8)The Baotou-Huhhot-Jining line (200km/h+) is not shown.

9)The Shijiazhuang-Jinan new line largely parallel Beijing-Shanghai line between Dezhou and Jinan.

10)The Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo, Zhengzhou-Xinzheng Airport, Zhengzhou-Songcheng Road, Kaifeng short distance lines are not shown.

11)The Zhengzhou-Xuzhou section is upgraded conventional line(160km/h+), there's a full high-speed line between Zhengzhou East-Xuzhou East under construction which should be shown in green. There's NO CRH service between Xuzhou and Lianyungang.

Southwest

[edit]

12)The Chengdu-Xi'an line (long distance) take existing Chengdu-Jiangyou (short distance) route between Chengdu and Jiangyou rather than new construction (at least in the forseable future)

13)The Chengdu-Guiyang line (long distance) take existing Chengdu-Emei (short distance) route between Chengdu and Leshan rather than new construction (at least in the forseable future)

14)The Chengdu-Dujiangyan line (short distance) have THREE branches: To Qingchengshan/Lidui Park/Pengzhou. Only part of one branch is shown on this map.

20)The Guiyang-Kaiyang line (short distance) is not shown.

Central

[edit]

15)There is now uninterrupted CRH service between Shanghai-Yichang East-Lichuan-Chongqing-Chengdu. The Yichang East-Lichuan section is shown as conventional line in this map.

16)There is a conventional line between Xi'an-Xinyang-Lu'an-Hefei which are now dual track. Future CRH service may commence between Nanyang-Xinyang-Lu'an-Hefei so take notice.

17)The Wuhan-Xianning line(short distance, different from Bejing-Guangzhou long distance line), Wuhan-Huanggang line(short distance), Wuhan-Huangshi-Daye(short distance) line is not shown, or not correctly (they are 200km/h+)

18)There is still CRH service on conventional line(160km/h+) between Wuhan and Jiujiang. (The new construction between Daye and Jiujiang is shown correctly)

19)There is now a Loudi-Shaoyang branch to the Shanghai-Kunming line, which is not shown.

21)There is Changsha-Xiangtan (short distance) and Changsha-Zhuzhou (short distance) lines under construction, which is not shown.

26)There is now no CRH service between Hangzhou and Zhuzhou (or Hengyang) on the conventional line (after the high-speed one is inaugurated). Also, this map outright confuses Zhuzhou and Hengyang, which are different places (Hengyang is to the south)

26)Both the Hengyang-Nanjing line and the Guiyang-Guangzhou line passes through Guilin.

27)The Changping East, Dongguan-Xiaojinkou, Huizhou line (short distance) is not shown.

28)There is not another line between Guangzhou-(to the northeast)-Xiamen. However, there is one between Ganzhou and Xiamen.

Summary

[edit]

(incompelete work, welcome to improve. Purple=300+, Red=250+, Orange=200+, Yellow=Conventional lines with speedy services, YellowGreen=Conventional lines with future speedy services, Green=u/c)— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ibicdlcod (talk • contribs)

Firstly, please sign by "~~~~" after your comment. Secondly, I discussed with some of the users, saying that we should avoid double line as much as possible - I didn't know by that definition why HaDa conventional lines exist, but that's not my problem anyway. Thirdly, I will discuss some of the lines you mentioned and try to fix those bugs. Thirdly, some of the shorter lines are not shown since there's no space. I just want to know what is the speed of QinShen now? Since someone said its 160, some said 200, some even said 300. It's confusing.--owennsonMeeting Room聊天室Certificates獎座櫃09:39, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File Name

[edit]

Can we rename this file to "Eastern_Asia_HSR.svg" as a working version of this map (just like File:Western_Asia_HSR.svg)? Then we don't need to update the file name every year. We can also make a copy as "Eastern_Asia_HSR20xx.svg" in the end of every year. --Zhaozzh (talk) 13:24, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
