How do we know it is Daulat on the left? He looks very different in this other self-portrait which is also on his wiki page:

I won't claim at all to be an expert on Mughal portraiture, but the figure on the left in this painting looks very much like Mughal portraits of Africans I've seen, whereas the person in the other self-portrait of Daulat (above) has very little in common in terms of appearance. If both of these images are self-portraits, why would he choose to portray himself so differently? PigeonAppreciator (talk) 17:07, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
