{{Editprotected}} The grand collar of the Legion d'Honneur should not be present. It was a personal honour independent of the possession of a grand dignity : Elisa Bonaparte was princess grand dignitary suo juris (granted 1809, as grand duchess of Toscane) but was never awarded the grand collar.
