Rename request[edit]

Would you please be able to cite the evidence base for this request. It is useful to have a reference if any further discussions occur.  — billinghurst sDrewth 06:08, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bucchero is a typical Etruscan ceramic. The arguments for my request are:
  1. typical for Bucchero is his black colour that is not a varnishing (like the socalled Campanian ceramic), but is the colour of the clay. Here it's clear that the clay is rose and not black. Real bucchero ceramics are to show in the Category:Bucchero (but there are some other ceramics they are not bucchero (wrong identification)!).
  2. "Lebes gamikos" is a Greek form, not an Etruscan; this form doesn't exist in bucchero! and "lebes gamikos" is a greek word.
  3. This vase was found in Magna Graecia. In Magna Graecia (=South Italy) there was Greek people on the coast, and Italic people in the inland; without a little part of Campania, there wasn't Etruscan in Magna Graecia! --DenghiùComm (talk) 08:15, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
