Categorization as Islamic Astrolabe

[edit]

This Astrolabe was manufactured under the Islamic role in Spain. It can be categorized under Islamic Astrolabe category as it contain all Astrolabes made during the Islamic civilization whatever the ethnicity or religion of its manufacturer. The same way Albert Einstien is labeled an "American Scientist" despite being of Jewish religion and German origin. Jewish minorities in Spain flourished economically, culturally and socially during muslim role in Spain. Afterwards they were subjected to "Genocide" like Muslims in Spain after the Reconquesta wars. No harm done categorizing it under Islamic Astrolabes Category. Please reply and discuss in the discussion page.--Ashashyou (talk) 13:50, 9 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Check this link describing Hebrow Astrolabes: "There are about twenty astrolabes with Hebrew script written on them, a clear sign that Jews used them at some point. These instruments are all western astrolabes, i.e. they were made in Europe and northern Africa. Some of them are European (Latin script with additions in Hebrew), some are Islamic astrolabes from Islamic Spain and Sicily (Arabic script with Hebrew additions), and just a few are completely Jewish (Hebrew and Judaeo-Arabic scripts)."http://blogs.mhs.ox.ac.uk/hebrew-astrolabes/category/uncategorized/
