Clean up ?[edit]

Moved from the main page:''{{ifc|add a ducal crown to it (you can upload it under a different name if you think it's necessary. For the shape of the crown see [[:Image:Escudodecasadealba.png]]. There are also too many blue-and-white squares at the lower right section, compare to original and please correct. The top row has only three squares. the lower end of the COA should also be rounded, not pointed, see also [[:Image:Escudoalvarezdetoledo.jpg]] for reference.}}

Answer:

The fourth quarter needed actually to be corrected (see Image:Escudodecasadealba.png and also [1], [2] and [3]. That is done.
Nevertheless, the shape of the shield and the presence of a crown above it are not important heraldic features. So it cannot allow to say that the file must be cleaned up. Zigeuner 23:19, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"The accuracy of this coat of arms is disputed. The dispute is about: When looking at the outer border of the original COA, I count less fleur-de-lys and lions than on the .svg image. The positions are also different. If it does matter, please correct. Also thin black borders of the various quarters are not in line, look at the central section where it seems to be slightly askew."
This is a difficult one. The blazon states "componée de douze pièces". This depiction and the original shows 16 not 12 - so either the original blazon is wrong or the original depiction was wrong. Personally, I see nothing wrong with this bordure - provided the two alternate it will be OK. Kiltpin (talk) 19:33, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Heraldry isn't always the precise. I am not sure how important it is. Tinynanorobots (talk) 22:08, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
