This Coat of Arms is disputed[edit]

The coat of arms of Gelre should be:

  • 1236-1339 Blue field, with golden blocks, golden lion with red tongue and nails. Like Nassau.
  • 1339-1377 Blue field, golden crowned doubletaled lion with red tongue and nails
  • 1543-1799 Two parts, right Guelders (with turned lion 1339-1377) left Julich, black lion, red tongue and nails.

To look the present image look authentic, it should have spreaded golden blocks on the background, the crown should be in a golden colour, the tail should be splitted in two parts. Arch (talk) 06:19, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
