Digital alteration[edit]

@Ralf Roletschek: Recoloring the sky and lighting as much as you have is more of an alteration than I think we should be comfortable with. If you're going to alter that much, could you please do so in a separate file that is clearly marked as having been altered? {{u|Sdkb}}talk 13:17, 8 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

--Ralf Roletschek 13:25, 8 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ralf Roletschek: No the white balance is not correct; the white of the flag is translucent and the blue of the sky behind is bleeding through. Modifying it so the white shows pure white is far too much alteration and is not accurate. +1 on the digital modification. It keeps getting more artificial. There is no reason not to go back to the original, unmodified version. AleatoryPonderings (talk) 21:41, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
+1 on that as well. Please revert to first version. 76.115.105.125 00:40, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

--Ralf Roletschek 08:53, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Info The first modified versions by Ralf were derived from the original upload and had indeed too intense colors. The current version is, as Ralf says above, made based on the raw file which Ralf got from the photographer, and is now well-balanced and natural. The dome appears still very "golden", but this seems to be a result of the artificial lighting and the evening sun. The first version appears rather washed out.
