What is this image showing?[edit]

We don't have any verifiable information about it in the description or anywhere else. The author self-submitted and self-licensed. What cells are these? What stains were used? Certainly an image this impressive has been published in scholarly literature somewhere. What journal is that? If this image depicts actual living or dead cells, it's arguably the best micrograph I've ever seen: the resolution and level of detail are extreme. It wouldn't be the first time I've been utterly bowled over by the capabilities of modern biotechnology, it's possible it's entirely genuine - either way, images that are easy for readership to misinterpret as real or fictitious need to have their origins, authentic or artistic, fully detailed. - PJsg1011 (talk) 06:03, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
