Selbst fotografiert im August 2005. Bei genauer Betrachtung ist oben in der Mitte des Felsmassivs die Öffnung der verwaisten Gipfelstation der 1991 stillgelegten alten Tiroler Zugspitzbahn als kleines schwarzes Viereck zu sehen. Die Bahn wurde durch einen Neubau ersetzt und fährt heute direkt bis zur Gipfelplattform. Man unterschätze die Größenverhältnisse auf dem Bild nicht: die Wandhöhe von der Geröllgrenze bis zum Gipfel beträgt rund 600 Meter! |
