Summary[edit]

Description
English: Maroon silk sash, part of the Zouave uniform of Robert Edward Mather Bain, captain of the Bain Zouaves of St. Louis, 1879-1886. The Bain Zouaves was a company of the St. Louis Police Reserves Regiment, which formed in 1877 as a result of that year's railroad strike, before becoming a company under state service in the 3rd Regiment National Guard of Missouri.
