Description
Deutsch: Fossiler Stubben eines tertiären Urwelt-Mammutbaumes (Taxodioxylon germanicum) am Johanneum 1868/71 (Gymnasium) in Zittau, Theaterring 5, der als Naturdenkmal geschützt ist. 1932 wurde der Wurzelfuß in einer Tongrube in Hartau, ca. 2 km südöstlich von Zittau, gefunden. 2004 erfolgte die Konservierung des geologischen Denkmals, um es vor dem Verfall zu retten. 2005 wurde es mit einer Einhausung versehen.
