Description Two types of schist in the Zermatt zone in the Penninic nappes: the larger part of the picture shows Tsaze-nappe pelitic schists with quartz bands. Topmost part of the picture has a (green) serpentinite lithology, part of a 5m large boudin. Swiss armyknife (~10 cm) for scale, location: Colle del Turlo, Valle di Gressoney, Italy.
