Description
English: Cover of the radio publication "Die Sendung" ("The Broadcast"), celebrating the medieval poet Walther von der Vogelweide. Publisher Hermann Reckendorf got pressure from the Nazis and probably committed suicide in 1936.
Deutsch: Titelblatt der Rundfunkzeitschrift "Die Sendung" vom 16. November 1928. Dies war eine von mehreren Periodika, die sich an die stark wachsende Gemeinde der Radiofans richtete. Der Verlagsinhaber, Hermann Reckendorf, bekam als Jude und wegen seiner als progressiv geltenden Publikationen ab 1933 Druck von den Nationalsozialisten, er wurde enteignet, sein Verlag für Nazi-Produktionen missbraucht, die Zeitschrift eingestellt. Über den Verbleib Reckendorfs gibt es nur Vermutungen. Einige sprechen von seinem Suizid 1936.
