Русский: Снимок входит в альбом, вероятно, опубликованный около 1920 г., который содержит 20 фотографий с видами Подкарпатской Руси. Большая часть этого гористого края до Первой мировой войны принадлежала Австро-Венгрии, а в 1919 г. он вошел в состав нового Чехословацкого государства. Сегодня самая крупная часть Подкарпатской Руси образует Закарпатскую область западной Украины, а меньшие части принадлежат Словакии и Польше. На правой части снимка видна церковь Вознесения Господня в Ясене, построенная в 1824 г. в типичном гуцульском стиле. Гуцульские церкви возводились в форме креста, с четырьмя пристройками к центральной квадратной части здания. Слева расположена колокольня, производящая глубокое впечатление. Ясена (или Ясиня) является самым крупным селом края.

Cette région montagneuse, qui faisait essentiellement partie de l'Autriche-Hongrie avant la Première Guerre mondiale, fut intégrée au nouvel État tchécoslovaque en 1919. Aujourd'hui, la majeure partie de la Ruthénie subcarpatique forme l'oblast de Transcarpatie, dans l'ouest de l'Ukraine, avec des terres plus petites en Slovaquie et en Pologne. Cette photographie présente, sur la droite, l'église de l'Ascension-de-Notre-Seigneur à Yasinya, qui fut construite en 1824 dans le style caractéristique houtsoul. Les églises houtsoules sont bâties en forme de croix, avec quatre extensions connectées au carré central dominant. L'impressionnant clocher est visible sur la gauche. Yasinya (ou Jasina) est le plus grand village de la région.
Clochers; Églises; Houtsoules; Bâtiments en bois English: This image is part of an album probably published in about 1920 that contains 20 photographs of scenes in Carpathian Ruthenia, a mountainous region, most of which was part of the Austria-Hungary before World War I, but which became part of the new Czechoslovak state in 1919. Today the largest portion of it forms Zakarpattia Oblast in western Ukraine, with smaller parts in Slovakia and Poland. On the right in this picture is the Church of the Ascension of Our Lord in Yasinya, built in 1824 and typical of the Hutsul, or Hucul, style. Hutsul churches are built in the form of a cross, with the four extensions connected to the dominant central square. The impressive bell tower is on the left. Yasinya (or Jasina) is the largest village in the region.
