The Atlantic Clubwas the next to statea fleet, and had sixschooners and twelvesloops, and it signal-ized its cruise by giv-ing a regatta at always been a favorite stopping-place forthis club, and at one time it contem-plated making this port its headquarters.Fortunately, the project fell through. The New York Yacht Club mustered tenschooners and four sloops for the annualcruise, and went direct from Glen Cove toGreenport, getting there while the fleet ofthe Atlantic Club was in the harbor. It
