Description

Partially beaded leather hard sole moccasin, right foot. Top made of a single piece stitched at rear with cuff open at front and back, drawstring at ankle. Loop bead design: a 3/8" wide strip all around toe and outside of top just above sole seam, a large rectangular solid bead pattern on top, both basically white, with blue, green and red design. Painted parfleche soles.

Likely Northern Cheyenne from Lame Deer, MT, late reservation period (Kostelnik, 2000).
